Naysayers only win if you let them!

Naysayers only win if you let them!

If you want a successful career it’s quite important that you believe in yourself.  I’m sure we’ve all heard Henry Ford’s famous quote, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't – you're right.”

It emphasises pointedly how much our attitude determines success or failure. Another way of putting it is: “You can if you think you can.”  Either way, you have to believe in yourself if you are to succeed.

Throughout life you will meet all sorts of “naysayers” - they might be teachers, colleagues, employers, even family members.  How you deal with them, how you respond to them, will determine to a large extent your feeling of personal well-being and the greater that feeling the happier and more successful you are likely to be.

How to deal with such people? The best advice I ever heard was from a mentor of mine - two words - “Ignore them.”
