CHANGING YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT.

CHANGING YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT.

Whether you feel fulfilled at work or not, whether you thrive or not, depends on four intangibles.

1: The personalities of the people with whom you work.
2: The ethos and values of the organisation for which you work.
3: The nature of the working environment in which you work.
4: How effectively you manage the relationships with the people with whom you work.

For the first three of these we can of course effect change by seeking a new employer, but if it is primarily number three where the problem lies, there is another option.

As Hannibal said, "We must either find a way or make one."

In other words we can either find the right working environment in the first place by seeking a new employer or we can use our communication skills more effectively as we proactively manage the working environment we've got so that we gradually convert it into one that is right for us.
